SETH: Internships Now Open for Applications

In May 2025, Finsbury Park will become the home of an exciting new initiative for young autistic adults. Through a partnership between autism charities Urban Forest Collective and Edible Landscapes London, SETH will offer unique opportunities to support autistic young people into employment and education through nature-based learning and work placements.

About SETH

SETH (Supporting Employment and Education Through Horticulture) offers supportive and inclusive work placements in a peaceful, enclosed forest garden setting. Internships will take place one day per week over 12 weeks (4 hours per day), providing meaningful, hands-on experience in horticulture and outdoor learning.

The project will run for 24 weeks in total, with two cohorts of 10 places each. SETH is designed for autistic young people aged 18 to 30 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) and who are able to travel independently or with a support worker.

Each intern will be supported by specialist one-to-one coaching to help shape their experience. This coaching will help identify areas of interest, develop new skills, and plan next steps towards further education or employment.

Building Pathways into Nature, Learning and Work

SETH aims to create meaningful opportunities for autistic young people to gain confidence, skills and connections through horticulture. By combining nature-based learning with personalised support, we hope to inspire the next steps into education and employment.

We look forward to welcoming new interns and developing this important project with our community!
